NEO, by Neo Victoria Rangaka, is a luxury African brand, formerly known as BLVNK. Cutting out pictures of clothing items from her mother’s fashion magazines as a little girl, to create her own look books, Neo’s fashion career started when she got her BA in Fashion at the Villioti Fashion Institute in Hyde Park. The brand produces expressive, high-quality fashion that encourages people to see the value of who they are, despite where they come from.
Born in Johannesburg, and despite living in Amsterdam and Nigeria, and travelling the world, there was no place like home – evident in every African inspired print and silhouette she designs. Participating in incubation programs such as the Edcon Design Innovation Challenge, 21 Steps to Retail, as well as the BoxShop, taught her how to grow a profitable fashion business. Her brand has been on various runways, including SA Fashion Week, and she has also had the opportunity to participate in a pop-up shop hosted in Milan. A multi-faceted businesswoman and creator, she is very passionate about shaping the community and building generational wealth.
