Collection Title: “Circular Criticism”

Michael Ludwig Studio is a contemporary luxury brand, inspired by psychology & the fluidity of identity.

In 2023 Michael Ludwig Studio presented its collection during Milan Fashion Week in September with the support of SAFW, Vogue Italia, and Afro Fashion Week Milano. Most recently working with Woolworths as a 2024 Youth Maker, showcasing a limited edition locally produced collection to bridge the gap between commercial and contemporary luxury design.

The latest collection, inspired by the notion that criticism can be inward and outward, Circular Criticism presents a curation that addresses past criticisms while showcasing the brand's evolution and resilience. This theme is further explored in its selection of tactile textiles, round shapes & silhouettes. Embroidered cotton linens, locally woven and dyed cotton, eco-printed denim, and jacquard burnout chiffon communicate a tactile experience that invites the wearer to embrace all forms of their individuality. The colour palette focuses on soft pastel hues juxtaposed against bright and bold tones, symbolizing the contrast between vulnerability and strength.
