new MEDIA REGISTRATION
new MEDIA, DIGITAL INFLUENCERS & BLOGGERS REGISTRATION PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS
Criteria for New Media, Fashion Editors, SM reporters, Photographers, Buyers, and Stylists attending the South African Fashion Week for the first time:
Photographers and Fashion Editors must be commissioned for publications that are well-known in the fashion community, and that have an adequate reach.
Independent content creators must have proof of recently published work within the past 12 months, online or in print.
Buyers
Buyers must either work for a Fashion Boutique, a Retailer, online store or have their own physical or online store.
Content Creators / Social Media reporters and Influencers
To be accredited as a social media influencer, you must meet one of the criteria below:
Instagram: Fashion-related content with a minimum of 8K followers
YouTube: Average of 5K Subscribers
TikTok: A minimum of 20k followers, 30 posts related to fashion in the past year, and between 30k-50k average views per video
Website / Blog: Over 3,000 followers
Photographers / Videographers
Applicants must be photographers / videographers commissioned to shoot for an agency, publication or broadcaster.
Accreditation is open for the Reception area and SAFW Auditorium only.
Please note that we do not accredit freelance photographers / videographers.
Backstage access must be pre-arranged – no unaccompanied photographers / videographers will be allowed backstage. Backstage passes on the day of the show can be obtained at the reception desk.
Stylists
Applicants must provide proof of recently published work showing the fashion credits

To apply for accreditation at the South African Fashion Week Spring | Summer ‘23 Collections, kindly complete the entire form below no later than Friday, 17 March 2023. South African Fashion Week might not be able to accommodate any requests received after this date.
