Born in the heart of Johannesburg in 2010, Naked Ape has championed a slower, more thoughtful approach to fashion – one that values quality over quantity and honours heritage while caring deeply for the environment.

The design house and its conscientious approach to fashion dictates the use of ecological and economical fabrics, incorporating natural fibres and blends that predominantly comprise of cotton, wool, linen, hemp, bamboo, silk, and leather placing them at the forefront of luxury African fashion.

Drawing on timeless techniques the brand collaborates closely with South African and African artisans whose hands bring texture, character, and history into every garment. They also partner with creative storytellers from diverse disciplines, reflecting the rich, multicultural fabric of the continent itself.
