Madie studied at Central Johannesburg College, and studying fashion was a life-changing experience for him. His studio is based in Midrand, Johannesburg. His genderfluid label celebrates equality, diversity, and inclusivity for everyone. Madi draws inspiration from uncommon and unconventional things, which can be anything from a drawing to a movie or a book. He appreciates the simplicity yet complexity of Batswana culture and how it uses colours and imprints inspired by nature in a subtle yet detailed manner. Madi also uses sustainable and recycled fabrics in his work.
