NEW 2024 MR PRICE SCOUTING MENSWEAR WINNER

Set at the bustling Melrose Arch, Mr Price, together with SA Fashion Week showcased the incredible talents of SA’s hottest up-and-coming designer at the Mr Price Scouting Menswear Show. After months of preparation and judging, Kingsley Baloyi came out victorious as this season’s winner.

Founder and Creative Director of @undefined_outdoor_clothing, Kingsley Baloyi brought together his love for nature, outdoor clothing with recreational sports, mountain aesthetics and motor-core styling into his now award-winning collection. His designs garnered a heartfelt reaction from attendees and this season’s judging panel including 2022 Scouting Menswear Winners, Malcom Mogkope & Minenhle Memela of REFUSE, GQ Editor-in-chief, Molife Kumona and Amber Jones, Dean Hauptfleisch and Naledi Buthelezi from Mr Price.

“With menswear, one of the questions we always ask is…“what’s next?” Each of this season’s finalists showcased the rich potential and exciting evolution of menswear design locally and should be so proud of their efforts at SA Fashion Week. From the outset, Kingsley’s blend of techwear-meets utility, combined with his execution, commercial instinct and understanding our customer, paved the way to the title. The Johannesburg-based designer, Kingsley will follow suit from previous Scouting Menswear winner, Robyn Agulhas and take home a mentorship programme at Mr Price Head Office, where he’ll learn the full retail cycle, R50 000 in cash to further his design career and the opportunity to design a limited-edition collection to launch in selected Mr Price stores in SS25.
